| Byron Ousey is a managing
director with an international financial public relations
consultancy that specialises in advising governments and
major corporations on takeovers and mergers as well as crisis
management. In the Mittal v Arcelor battle he advised the
Luxembourg government on its communications strategy and
was at the epicentre of the battle.
After fifteen years as a business journalist, specialising
in civil engineering writing for The Times and the Sunday
Times, Ousey worked for Lloyds Bank, as its first ever externally
appointed press officer, De Beers, where he became Manager
of International PR (apartheid, conflict diamonds, price
collapse), and Morgan Grenfell, taking it public and riding
straight into the Guinness affair.
